Saturday, January 21st, February 18th and St. Patricks Day March 17th, Time is always 12:00-2:00
Come and join others in the Wavecrest Community for some time of community building through prayer and conversation and a shared meal.
Bring something to share for about 6-10 persons. Bring a friend as well. All are welcome.We have scheduled the gatherings for the 3rd Saturday of each month from 12:00-2:00. We hope to see you there!
Future Plans - Save This Date! L'Arche Wavecrest Receives Anaheim White House Charity Luncheon
Through the generosity of Bruno Serato, owner of The Anaheim White House Restaurant, 200 non profit agencies in Orange County have received the equivalent of a $5295 gift. We are one of these lucky groups! Although our date is not until May 27, 2015 (which seems forever) we are excited about the possibility of inviting 100 donors to this special fundraising event. It’s never too early to set the date aside!
We are Grateful for the following Grants - without help we would not be able to to sustain our family home or the self sufficiency that we strive for.
Sisters of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation Grant Awarded to L'Arche Wavecrest
We have received a $16,000 grant for the fiscal year 2011-2012 from The St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation.
The monies, used to partially cover the wages and benefits of our staff, help us to provide activities for our core members throughout the year.
We are very grateful to the Sisters for their continual support over the years.
Grant received from the Special Friends Foundation
Our request for financial support for the dental needs of our core members was rewarded by a grant of $2500 from the Special Friends Foundation. This foundation is made available through the larger L'Arche Federation and is used only for the direct needs of the core members in the various L'Arche Communities throughout the United States. We again are so grateful for the caring support of others. |
